Agressif, méticuleux et passionné- tous les traits qui caractérisent les fondements des pionniers du métal / hardcore, PRO-PAIN ! Le groupe américain voit le jour à New-York, en 1992. Gary claque la porte de son groupe, The Beast (à qui il dédiera une chanson de The Truth Hurts), pour enfin former son propre groupe. Pour ca, il s'entoure de Tom Klimchuck à la gratte et Dan Richardson aux percus, et le trio devient Pro-Pain. Dès 1993, leur première bombe est lancée avec la sortie de Foul Taste Of Freedom. Depuis, le groupe à beaucoup évolué et reste aujourd’hui une référence pour tous les fans de hardcore à travers le monde.
